An Irish Garden

Frowning flowers
Anchored alone
Allotted
Drenching downpours
Diminishing their demeanour

Quivering leaves
Petals crying raindrops
Dark clouds
Changing their complexions

Sunflowers solemnly
Await the day
When he appears
Peeping coyly through the clouds

We all wait for him
....the sun
